Highly efficient 3D module for part unfolding

Bystronic will introduce the Bysoft software version 6.2.2 with a new, highly efficient integrated 3D module for part unfolding. This new module allows users to completely unfold three dimensional models from SAT, STEP and IGES formats. Through a direct interface, 3D models are taken over directly from SolidWorks® and Autodesk Inventor® into the Unfolder. Bend allowances can be readily assigned to the 3D bent part by way of selecting bending tools and placing them within the Unfolder. The 3D model can be unfolded to 2D and then easily imported into Bysoft, Bystronic's integrated cutting and bending software.

Bysoft software enables complete process optimization from file to part. It offers users advanced synchronization of press brake, laser and waterjet processes. Bybend, another integrated Bysoft software module, provides automatic bend deductions, tool selection, bending sequences and back gauge placements for press brake users. This feature permits visualization of the bending sequences as well as automation collision detection before the part is sent to the operator for processing. This software reduces set up time and the need for test bending.
